Lillian has over 20 years of management experience across the consumer goods, hospitality, retail and food service sectors. 

As the General Manager of a Singapore iconic café that has fifty outlets across 14 countries, she oversaw the chain’s company setup and led the development of job roles creation, formulating compensation and benefits policies and staff welfare programme.  

She was also the co-founder of a homegrown ice cream brand, involving in the brand creation, food service conceptualization, menu development, central production and store establishment. She led training programmes and imparted service standards across all customer experience touchpoints.   

In her last role heading the retail division of a food group, she oversaw the re-branding of their quick-service kiosks, developing and executing business strategy in support the organisation’s strategic directions. 

Her years of experience in managing Food & Beverage chains has given her a wide breadth and depth of the full spectrum of human capital management appreciation and insights. Lillian graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies from the University of London (SIM), and also attained a Diploma in Business Administration, specialising in Marketing.

Steven has more than 17 years of working experience in banking and consulting. He was formerly the Asia head of wealth management for Mercer during 2013-2017, and EY advisory for 5 years. Over the course of his career, he has also worked in Citi Private Bank, IBM, PwC Consulting and Odyssey.

Across his career, Steven has worked with banks, insurance companies, independent financial advisors and family offices. In his last job with Mercer, he marketed investment solutions to financial intermediaries and family offices. He was also involved in strategic asset allocation, manager research and selection, risk management, regulatory compliance, operational due diligence, multi managers solution and performance reporting.

Steven also actively volunteers for non-profit organisations. He is passionate about solving problems related to manpower, healthcare, inter-generational poverty and children. He currently serves in eight charities, largely as board or committee members.

He speaks regularly at various wealth management industry forums in Singapore, Hong Kong and other Asian countries. He also interviews regularly with the media, and writes occasionally for the Opinion and Editorial section of Business Times.

Having spent her teenage in Sydney Australia as a Rotary Exchange Student & Graduated from Social & Political Science of Padjadjaran University; Irawati starts he career in 1989 with International Non Government Organization: CARE ,then Swisscontact, where she handle community project- implementation from international grants. Projects she handles includes: Village Primary Health Care, Clean Water Supply with CARE & Funding & Training for Small Technical Repair Shops with Swisscontact.

She then moved to Nielsen in 1991, a multi-national Marketing & Media Company, where she handle various complex research projects related to Consumer & Media measurement, for industries like : Television, Print, Radio, Advertising, Digital & Advertisers. Her focus is on the Commercial & Client Servicing side of the research products. Irawati builds her career diligently and entrusted with a split of the TV Audience measurement business in 2005 to a JV of AGB-Nielsen, where she was appointed as Managing Director for Indonesia reporting to the Global holding of Nielsen & WPP. In her capacity, she has successfully implemented a transformation of TV audience measurement method & technology from a weekly data delivery to an automatic daily & minute by minute data delivery. This has made Indonesia’s TV audience measurement within the global standard for airtime trade by the broadcaster as it increased its accuracy.

Irawati grew the Nielsen’s TV business in Indonesia more than 500% in 5 years, to 8 mn USD. She also manage to mitigate the merger of the TV business back to Nielsen in 2010, and joined it back with the other media services like Advertising Information services & Consumer’s media view. Irawati manage over 200 clients from various industries both local & international clients in TV & Broadcasting, Advertising, Group of Media companies as well as Advertisers. With more than 20 years experience, Irawati has received several awards i.e. Nielsen Asia Pacific employee of the year in 2005 & clients awarded her Most Inspiring profession in 2014.

After leaving Nielsen in 2016, Irawati continue to consult for broadcaster as well as organizing professional trainings with Simpli-Sensible consulting on subject i.e. Finance for Non Finance Managers & Innovation. In his last position, he was Managing Director East, West Africa and Maghreb region for Nielsen with P&L responsibility for all verticals in the region. In the last 18 years abroad, he has led multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams in myriad assignments involving business establishment, turnaround and growth. He has spent considerable time advising and working with clients, especially at board levels on market trends, go-to-market strategies, business transformation, growth and white space identification / innovation, and loves doing so even today.

He is passionate about learning and education, as well as corporate governance and sustainability. His enduring legacy in the companies he has worked for has been the sustainability of the businesses he established and the leaders that grew from the business during his tenure.

Yvonne began her career in human resource – first in a local recruitment consultancy then as an HR generalist in a local renowned home improvement retail chain with over 30 outlets regionally. She graduated from NUS with a Bachelor with Merit in Communications and New Media, and a minor in Management. Certified with WSQ ACTA under WDA (predecessor of SkillsFuture Singapore) in 2011, she had assisted in curriculum development, training and assessment of two retail training modules previously.

Making a switch in portfolio and prior to joining FT Consulting, Yvonne served four years in business development of the same retail chain to develop its franchise system and business network. Her extensive hands-on experience in franchising included marketing and recruitment of three overseas franchisees in Malaysia, Cambodia and Mongolia, initial franchise setup (store design, product selection and export, marketing plans etc) and operations management. Sam Siew, the Founder and Principal Consultant of FT Consulting in Malaysia has more than 26 years of experience in sales and marketing, specifically in direct selling of household capital goods at senior management and CEO level. A major part of Sam’s career was spent with a MNC where as General Manager and Director, he was instrumental for the company’s five-fold expansion.

Over the last 26 years, as a prime mover in the franchise consultancy, Sam has been involved in the development of many successful homegrown franchise programs. Before joining FT Consulting, Winston was asset manager with one of Asia’s largest real estate management companies. He had also previously held a management position at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), a Statutory Board under the Ministry of Law.

Winston graduated as the top student from the Singapore Management University’s Master of Science in Innovation in 2016. John began his consulting career with the Franchise Development Centre of the National Productivity Board, a predecessor of Enterprise Singapore. He subsequently joined Ernst & Young’s consulting practice. His practical experience in franchising can be traced back to the mid-1990s when he rolled out and managed a retail franchise with over 300 outlets in China.

John took over the helm of FT Consulting in 1998, and has been serving as an Executive Committee Member of the Franchising and Licensing Association (FLA) Singapore since 2000. For nearly two decades, he was the Chief Trainer of the Association’s Fundamentals of Franchise Management course, having trained more than 1,000 franchise owners and senior executives in Singapore and the Region.

Between 2001 and March 2011, he was concurrently the Managing Director of a homegrown F&B company with a regional network spanning 6 countries, giving him hands-on franchise experience. On the branding front, John was formerly a member of the Singapore Prestige Brand Award (SPBA) Organising Committee, and had also spoken publicly on the subject of branding at home and overseas. A number of his branding clients have been featured in the press and government publications for their post-branding achievements.
