Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), in partnership with Singapore Tourism Board, organised a webinar on “GRIT Series - IP in the Tourism & MICE Sectors” on 27 May 2021.
Growing with Resilience through InTangibles (GRIT) is an inter-agency initiative to partner businesses and communities to better manage and monetise their intangible assets and IP in the COVID-19 environment and beyond.
The webinar aims to provide insights on how to be part of the revival and growth of Singapore’s tourism industry by rethinking the operating models, and gaining a competitive edge through Intangible Assets/ Intellectual Property (IA/IP) in this new environment.
Our Group Managing Partner, Mr Winston Chan, was invited as one of the speakers to share about how digital and hybrid platforms present new opportunities to monetise content and reach to new audiences. He also shared insights on Digital Franchising - an innovative, cutting-edge omni-channel business model which FT Consulting successfully conceptualised and piloted with a forward-looking retailer recently.
Other notable speakers include:
Ms Trina Ha, Chief Legal Counsel and Director of the Legal Department at IPOS
Mr Aloysius Arlando, Chief Executive, Venues, SingEx-Sphere Holdings Pte Ltd and President, Singapore Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (SACEOS)
Ms Jean Wang, Founding Member and Current Chairman of Society of Tourist Guides (Singapore)
Ms Lorraine Tay, Partner of Bird & Bird ATMD
We are very heartened to see the positive responses from the participants.
