August is the month to celebrate Singapore’s National Day! In conjunction with our #SupportLocal initiative, we will be featuring four of our Food & Beverage clients.

In this feature, we showcase Tingkat Peramakan, a homegrown brand serving delicious and authentic Peranakan food through its catering service and 5 outlets located islandwide.

How did Tingkat Peramakan started

As a fourth generation Nyonya of Malacca and Penang parentage, the executive chef and founder of Tingkat Peramakan, Kathryn Ho, started Tingkat Peramakan to preserve the symbolic value of Peranakan dishes from a culture spanning 400 years.

What separates Tingkat Peramakan from other Peranakan concepts

Tingkat Peramakan serves only home-cooked Peranakan food and adopts the concept of “tingkats”, making their food more accessible to customers.

“Tingkats” are layered containers used in the olden times to bring delectable home-cooked meals to a loved one.
