Having spent her teenage in Sydney Australia as a Rotary Exchange Student & Graduated from Social & Political Science of Padjadjaran University; Irawati starts he career in 1989 with International Non Government Organization: CARE ,then Swisscontact, where she handle community project- implementation from international grants. Projects she handles includes: Village Primary Health Care, Clean Water Supply with CARE & Funding & Training for Small Technical Repair Shops with Swisscontact.

She then moved to Nielsen in 1991, a multi-national Marketing & Media Company, where she handle various complex research projects related to Consumer & Media measurement, for industries like : Television, Print, Radio, Advertising, Digital & Advertisers. Her focus is on the Commercial & Client Servicing side of the research products. Irawati builds her career diligently and entrusted with a split of the TV Audience measurement business in 2005 to a JV of AGB-Nielsen, where she was appointed as Managing Director for Indonesia reporting to the Global holding of Nielsen & WPP. In her capacity, she has successfully implemented a transformation of TV audience measurement method & technology from a weekly data delivery to an automatic daily & minute by minute data delivery. This has made Indonesia’s TV audience measurement within the global standard for airtime trade by the broadcaster as it increased its accuracy.

Irawati grew the Nielsen’s TV business in Indonesia more than 500% in 5 years, to 8 mn USD. She also manage to mitigate the merger of the TV business back to Nielsen in 2010, and joined it back with the other media services like Advertising Information services & Consumer’s media view. Irawati manage over 200 clients from various industries both local & international clients in TV & Broadcasting, Advertising, Group of Media companies as well as Advertisers. With more than 20 years experience, Irawati has received several awards i.e. Nielsen Asia Pacific employee of the year in 2005 & clients awarded her Most Inspiring profession in 2014.

After leaving Nielsen in 2016, Irawati continue to consult for broadcaster as well as organizing professional trainings with Simpli-Sensible consulting on subject i.e. Finance for Non Finance Managers & Innovation. Starting 2019, Irawati joined FT Consulting to contribute her experience for FT expansion in Indonesian market.
