Listed in “IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists” since 2018, Winston has been actively involved in franchising, technology transfer, strategic planning, branding, innovation and IP management projects across countries for almost 2 decades.

Before joining FT Consulting, Winston was asset manager with CapitaLand - one of Asia’s largest real estate companies. He had also previously held a management position at the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), a Statutory Board under the Ministry of Law. At IPOS, he contributed actively to IP policy making whilst keeping close tabs of ground issues by overseeing the organisation’s enterprise engagement team. He is currently appointed board director of IPOS International – the 100+ staff strong expertise and enterprise engagement subsidiary of IPOS.

Winston graduated as the top student from the Singapore Management University’s Master of Science in Innovation (MI) in 2017 with an unprecedented perfect GPA score of 4.0/4.0. He was the first Singaporean to have completed the KIPO-WIPO-KAIST-KIPA Advanced International Certificate Course in Intellectual Property Rights (AICC) in Seoul, South Korea in 2014. He was also the first in Singapore’s IP sector to receive the Skillsfuture Fellowships award in 2019. Presented by the President of the Republic of Singapore, the Award honours individuals as masters of skills and mentors of future talent. More recently, as a strong believer of life-long learning, he completed the Certified Patent Valuation Analyst (CPVA) course and holds the CPVA designation.
